When you are looking for help it is important to find the help that is right for you and your situation. The services I offer are intended to help you clarify what you most need and help you get there. The modalities include: counselling, coaching, relaxation massage and Somatic Experiencing trauma and nervous system therapy.
How can you know if you are in the right place?
Here are a few of the symptoms that people bring in to my office:
Anxiety and depression
Chronic Illness and the distress and loss that goes with it
Chronic life issues - those ones where something is stuck
Trauma: childhood, attack, falls
Overwhelm with life!
Grief over a recent or ongoing loss

Our job is to:
Understand the nature of your problem
Bring the right tools and supports to allow your healing or change
Take good actions to bring about the desired outcomes
Trust that the answers are here, within you, they just need some help to come to light.
My role is to:

I will be present to your needs, your laughter, your suffering, your goals
How to know what treatment is right for you?
Call me or write to me. Outline your concerns.
I will tell you if I think we can make some progress with your issue and how.
If your issue is outside my scope of practice I will endeavour to refer you to a more appropriate practictioner.
What to expect from a session
Your first session involves an assessment. We will explore your goals for our work together, some relevant history, and what resources you are already connected to.
I will then outline how I think we can work together best and we will make a start.
It is important that we have a sense of what you most want out of our time together: it keeps us focussed and gives us direction. Of course, every session is different and we will attend to whatever arises and is most pressing; however, it helps to remember what brings you to search for help and what it is that you most want; this stops sessions from just drifting along with no aim or purpose.
My goal for you is that you achieve your goals and no longer need therapy, or just come back to work on other pieces or for a top-up.
